Job Title: Project Manager (52-Week Contract)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team on a 52-week contracted opportunity. As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating various projects and time-limited bodies of work, as well as handling special assignments and administrative tasks. This position will require effective communication with senior staff, stakeholders, and the general public, along with excellent project management skills to ensure successful project outcomes.

Schedule/Shifts: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm (subject to change)


  • Consult with senior staff to develop and coordinate projects and time-limited bodies of work.
  • Research, brief, and prepare the Commissioner for meetings.
  • Create, edit, and update presentations, talking points, and speeches.
  • Work on special projects and handle special assignments.
  • Serve as the primary contact point for the general public via the news media.
  • Coordinate legal and legislative issues.
  • Respond to Freedom of Information Act requests.

Essential Skillsets:

  • Project Management: Solid understanding of project management principles, including planning, organizing, delegating tasks, tracking progress, and managing resources effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for briefing, presenting, drafting reports, and responding to Freedom of Information Act requests.
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Ability to gather relevant information, analyze data, and provide insights to support decision-making and project planning.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or a related field.
  • Five years of project management work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
