Part-Time Occupational Therapist Job Opening - Mild-Moderate Caseload - Bellingham, WA

A school district in the Bellingham, Washington area has a very part-time job opening for an exceptional OT! This is an onsite position. You will be working with two students who are both DHOH and autistic. Remote learning has not been very successful with them so we will need an onsite candidate. 

Job Details:

  • 2 student caseload
  • 2 hours per week (to start)
    • The OT can keep this caseload, or can expand it after a month to 25 hours per week
  • Reducing barriers that limit student participation within the school environment
  • Supporting the needs of students with significant challenges, such as by helping to determine methods for alternate educational assessment and learning
  • Helping to identify long-term goals for appropriate post-school outcomes

For candidates to be considered for this position you must have the following qualifications:

  • Occupational Therapist license in Washington
  • Washington ESA Certification
  • At least 1 year of school experience or pediatric experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate with caregivers effectively and empathetically 
  • Organized and patient
