Job Description: We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Paraprofessional to join our team in St. Paul, MN. The 1:1 Paraprofessional will provide one-on-one support to a student with special needs, helping them access the curriculum and ensuring their overall success in the classroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to a student with special needs in the classroom and during other school activities
Assist the student in understanding and completing assignments and activities
Implement behavior management strategies and support the student's emotional and social development
Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the unique needs of the student
Collaborate with the classroom teacher and other school staff to ensure consistency and continuity of support
Monitor the student's progress and document their achievements and challenges
Communicate regularly with the student's parents or guardians to provide updates on progress and address any concerns
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for the student at all times

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (some college coursework preferred)
Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a 1:1 setting
Knowledge of and experience with behavior management techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the student's life
