Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to parents, teachers, and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team
  • Develop and implement effective intervention strategies to address academic and behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide counseling services to students individually or in small groups
  • Offer consultation to parents, teachers, and staff on student-related issues
  • Participate in special education meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs
  • Stay current with best practices in school psychology and contribute to the overall improvement of the school community

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field
  • Valid New Hampshire state credential as a School Psychologist
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling services to students
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of educators and support staff
