Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Sterile Processing Technician with certification to support surgical operations in the Operating Room (OR) environment. This contract role in the Kansas City area offers valuable experience in sterile processing within a busy healthcare setting, focusing on ensuring the safe and effective sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.

Location:
Situated near Olathe, KS, this position serves a vibrant healthcare community with excellent access to city amenities and a family-friendly atmosphere. The area is known for its quality of life, including parks, shopping, and cultural attractions.

Schedule & Assignment Details:

  • Contract position for 13 weeks
  • Evening shift, 8.5 hours per day (3:00 PM 11:00 PM)
  • Monday through Friday with no weekend or on-call requirements
  • 40 hours per week with floating to various locations as needed

Responsibilities:

  • Perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with infection control policies and sterilization standards
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and instrument tracking
  • Collaborate with operating room and sterile processing teams to support surgical schedules

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
  • Certification required: CRCST or CSPDT
  • Knowledge of sterile processing protocols and equipment handling
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure
