Provide expert nursing care within an acute medical-surgical and telemetry setting during night shifts at a dedicated 40-bed unit. This contract role offers a chance to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment while supporting diverse patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the West 6 Med/Tele unit during 12-hour night shifts (7 PM 7 AM).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely charting and documentation.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with nursing standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility to float to other units and assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed, with training provided.
• Participate in block scheduling rotations and fulfill at least one holiday shift during the 16-week contract period.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active New York RN license.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• Preferred: 2 years recent experience in acute med-surg/tele.
• For non-U.S. candidates: At least 2 years of U.S. work experience.
• Ability to adapt to variable scheduling needs, including shift rotations and weekend coverage.
• Residency located more than 50 miles from the facility.

Schedule and Contract Details:

• Night shifts: 12-hour duration, 7 PM to 7 AM.
• Options for 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Commitment to 1 weekend shift weekly or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend.
• Contract duration: 16 weeks.
