A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in telemetry and medical-surgical care to support a complex care unit in Webster, NY. This 13-week contract role involves working with a 37-bed West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care unit, providing critical nursing care in an acute hospital setting. The position requires flexibility and a commitment to excellence in patient care, with an emphasis on teamwork and adaptability.
Schedule/Hours:
- Nights, 12-hour shifts (7 PM to 7 AM)
- Day/night rotation available
- 36 to 48 hours per week
- One weekend shift per week or two weekend shifts every other weekend
- Must work at least one holiday per contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to acute med/surg and telemetry patients
- Utilize EPIC charting system efficiently to document patient information
- Float to other units as needed based on facility demand
- Willingness to take on charge nurse responsibilities, with training provided if required
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and safety
Qualifications:
- Current and active New York State RN license
- NIH Stroke Certification and AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in acute med/surg or telemetry nursing
- Preferred: 2 years recent acute med/surg or telemetry experience
- For non-U.S. candidates, a minimum of 2 years of U.S. work experience is necessary
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility
