Job Description
A registered nurse with a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing is needed to provide high-level patient care on a specialized medical telemetry unit. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic schedule with night and day shift rotations, allowing flexibility and professional growth in a complex care environment.
Location:

Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts: 7 PM to 7 AM / 7 AM to 7 PM (Night/Day rotation)
- 36 to 48 hours per week
- Minimum of 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
- Required to work at least 1 holiday during the contract
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active New York State RN license
- NIH AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical or telemetry nursing
- Preferred: 2 years recent acute med-surg/telemetry experience
- Non-US trained candidates must have at least 2 years of U.S. work experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care on a 37-bed Med/Tele Complex Care unit
- Charting and documentation utilizing EPIC electronic health record system
- Flexibility to float to other units based on facility needs
- Willingness to assume charge nurse duties; training provided if needed
- Adherence to facility's scheduling requirements including block booking availability
Additional Information:
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
