A rewarding nursing opportunity is available in Pittsford, NY, supporting a 37-bed acute care unit specializing in medical and telemetry complex care. This position offers a 13-week contract with night shifts on a 12-hour rotation (7 PM7 AM and 7 AM7 PM), with 36 to 48 hours available weekly. This role requires dedication to providing exceptional patient care within a dynamic hospital setting utilizing EPIC charting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in acute med-surg or telemetry nursing
- Preferred 2 years recent experience in acute med-surg/tele
- For non-U.S. candidates, at least 2 years of U.S. nursing experience is required
- Active New York State RN license
- NIH and AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to patients on the West 7 Med/Tele Complex Care unit
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC systems
- Float to other units as needed to support patient care demands
- Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling to accommodate facility needs, including holidays
- Willingness to take on charge nurse responsibilities; training available
Schedule:
- Night shifts with 12-hour rotations between 7 PM and 7 AM or 7 AM and 7 PM
- 1 weekend shift per week or 2 every other weekend
- Holiday shifts required at least once per contract
