Job Description

Provide patient-centered care in a dynamic med/surg and telemetry environment, supporting complex care needs within a well-established 37-bed unit. This role requires flexibility, clinical expertise, and collaboration to meet diverse patient demands during a 13-week contract in Canandaigua, NY.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care on a Medical/Telemetry unit with acute and complex care patients.
  • Work 12-hour shifts on a night/day rotation, covering 36 to 48 hours weekly, including at least one weekend shift per week or two alternate weekends.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely charting documentation.
  • Flexibly float to other units as needed and take on charge nurse responsibilities when required, with training provided.
  • Adhere to facility protocols with a commitment to at least one holiday shift during the contract.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active New York RN license.
  • NIH and AHA BLS certifications.
  • Minimum 1 year recent acute med/surg or telemetry experience; 2 years preferred.
  • Non-U.S. candidates must have 2 years of recent U.S. healthcare experience.
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7 PM to 7 AM and 7 AM to 7 PM (Night/Day rotation)
  • 36 to 48 hours per week
