This role offers an opportunity to provide expert nursing care on a medical-telemetry unit within a complex care setting. The position involves 12-hour night and day rotation shifts, allowing for flexibility in scheduling across 36 to 48 hours weekly. Candidates must be adaptable to varying schedules and willing to float between units as needed, demonstrating a collaborative approach in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical or telemetry nursing; 2 years preferred
- At least 2 years of U.S. work experience for candidates educated outside the U.S.
- Active New York State RN license
- Current NIH AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive patient care on a 37-bed Med/Tele Complex Care unit, documentation through EPIC electronic health records, and potential charge nurse duties with training provided. The role requires flexibility to work at least one holiday during the 13-week contract and to commit to weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
