An immediate opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Stepdown and progressive care nursing. This contract assignment is ideally suited for professionals who excel in fast-paced, acute care environments and enjoy the challenge of providing high-quality care to complex patient populations.

This dedicated stroke unit features 30 beds with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, providing a collaborative setting focused on patient-centered medicine. You will care for patients presenting with diverse conditions, including medical, DKA, cardiac, gastrointestinal, renal cases, sepsis, trauma, and surgical needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license.
• Recent Stepdown or progressive care nursing experience required.
• Proven ability to care for patients with acute medical, surgical, cardiac, GI, renal, or trauma-related diagnoses.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid).

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care to a diverse adult population, with a focus on stroke and progressive care needs.
• Manage patient assessments, medication administration, and monitoring for changes in condition.
• Implement appropriate interventions for sepsis, DKA, and other acute complications.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain thorough and accurate patient records.
• Participate in unit rounds and care conferences as needed.
