This opportunity is for a registered nurse with experience in stepdown care, focusing on specialized medical conditions and post-stroke patient monitoring. The position offers a focused clinical environment with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, enabling you to deliver attentive, quality care within a dedicated stroke unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage patients recovering from stroke and other critical medical conditions such as DKA, cardiac issues, GI and renal disorders, sepsis, trauma, and post-surgical care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Provide patient education and support to promote recovery and prevent complications.
- Participate in ongoing assessment and documentation of patient status in alignment with regulatory standards.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions to ensure optimal outcomes.
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license with experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing.
- Strong clinical knowledge in managing stroke patients and related complex medical issues.
- Ability to work efficiently with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:4.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Experience in trauma and surgery patient care preferred.
