Deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic stepdown unit as a Registered Nurse, providing support and coordination for patients with complex needs. Reporting to nursing leadership, you will draw on your assessment and communication skills to implement care strategies consistent with professional clinical standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Recent clinical experience within a stepdown or progressive care unit
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to educate patients and families effectively
• Comfortable with bedside point-of-care testing and electronic health records

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and synthesize patient data to determine and prioritize care needs, integrating physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety considerations
• Coordinate, deliver, and evaluate nursing care using clinical judgment and the nursing process
• Engage patients, families, and caregivers in readiness assessment, education, discharge planning, and advocacy
• Participate in ongoing education and use of patient education materials
• Communicate relevant information to ensure continuity of care and involve the interdisciplinary team as needed
• Actively participate in performance improvement, cost-effective care initiatives, and achievement of unit goals
• Promote a safe, secure, and clean environment while adhering to regulatory and policy guidelines
• Foster intra- and interdepartmental collaboration and provide feedback to colleagues
• Stay informed on current best practices and relevant research
