Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment (specific scheduling details provided during the interview process)
Embrace the challenge of caring for post-surgical cardiac and thoracic patients and play a crucial role in their ongoing recovery. Working in this specialized environment, you will engage with advanced clinical practices, participate in collaborative care, and enhance your skills in complex patient management.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license (unencumbered)
- Stepdown/SDU experience required (preferably with cardiac and thoracic patients)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus, but not mandatory
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a stepdown unit
- Monitor, assess, and document patient condition post-cardiac and thoracic procedures
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications, manage post-op complications, and support patient education
- Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance
