Engage in a rewarding role providing specialized nursing care in a dynamic stepdown critical care setting. This contract opportunity is based in the Carmel area and offers a meaningful chance to apply your skills in a busy 16-bed stepdown unit focused on cardiac and ICU-level patients. With a 1:2 patient ratio, you will deliver attentive, high-quality care supported by advanced equipment including ventilators and titratable drips.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage patient care for critically ill adults recovering from ICU-level acuity
• Administer and monitor ventilator settings and titratable intravenous drips
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document care accurately within the Epic electronic medical record system
• Adhere to unit protocols including ACLS guidelines
• Support floating to other critical care areas as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN licensure with 2+ years critical care or stepdown experience
• ACLS certification required
• Proficient in ventilator management and titratable drips
• Experience with cardiac and ICU patients preferred
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills

Schedule:

• Every other weekend shift, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• 36 hours guaranteed weekly
• No regular call; holiday coverage on an as-needed basis

Contract details include issuance of unit-specific equipment such as medication drawer keys to support your day-to-day tasks. Dress code requires navy scrubs in keeping with the units professional standards.
