Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
- Demonstrated experience in PCU, stepdown, or cardiac surgery preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork abilities
- Motivated, adaptable, and dedicated to patient-centered care
Essential Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to post-cardiac surgery patients in the PCU setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on post-surgical recovery and ongoing care needs
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and efficiently
- Uphold safety protocols and standards of excellence
