Job Description

Provide your expertise as a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced Cardiac Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit setting in Big Lake, AK. This 13-week contract opportunity offers a meaningful role caring for patients who require specialized cardiac monitoring and interventions. Work the 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift, bringing your skills in patient assessment, critical thinking, and compassionate care to ensure high-quality outcomes in a telemetry environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current, active Registered Nurse license in Alaska
  • Experience in Stepdown or telemetry nursing preferred
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac care and monitoring techniques
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor cardiac patients closely using telemetry equipment
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Assess patient condition and promptly report changes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
