Job Description
Provide comprehensive nursing care in a dynamic clinical environment, including ICU, Step Down Unit, Med Surg, Day Stay Unit, PACU, and ER settings. This role involves planning, coordinating, and delivering patient care while maintaining required competencies across multiple specialized units. You will also oversee and delegate responsibilities to ancillary personnel according to their scope of practice, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and team efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in ICU, Step Down, Med Surg, Day Stay, PACU, and ER units
- Maintain up-to-date clinical competencies for each assigned unit
- Coordinate patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Supervise and delegate appropriate care tasks to ancillary staff in accordance with their roles and licenses
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Document nursing interventions and patient responses accurately and timely
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience in step-down or critical care nursing preferred
- Ability to function effectively in fast-paced, multi-unit settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and leadership capabilities
- CNA representation aligned with the positions collective bargaining agreement
