An excellent opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse skilled in Rehab and Long-Term Care to provide compassionate and expert care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This contract role is based at a well-equipped hospital located in Rochester, NH, where you will contribute to a multidisciplinary team focused on patient recovery and quality outcomes.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- Experience in rehabilitation and medical-surgical nursing essential
- IV therapy experience mandatory
- Preferred skills include wound care, stroke management, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) care
- BLS certification required
- Professional, flexible, and thorough work ethic aligned with patient-centered care

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients on a 19-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit
- Manage and monitor patient health status, including IV therapies and wound care
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Utilize equipment such as mechanical lifts, Baxter pumps, and Meditech EMR systems efficiently
- Maintain a 6:1 patient-to-staff ratio, ensuring individualized attention and quality care
Schedule and Hours:
- Work primarily on the day shift with a supportive team including charge nurses, CNAs, and sitters
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Opportunities to float to CCU, Med Surg, and ER units as needed
