Job Description

Deliver exceptional patient care and foster wellness in a rewarding rehabilitation and long-term care environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive and compassionate support to patients and their families, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice are met throughout your contract assignment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position; shifts and hours to be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois (or eligibility for Illinois licensure).
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required before employment.
  • Minimum one year of RN experience in a rehabilitation or long-term care setting is preferred.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft applications is a plus.
  • Must pass a drug screening as the campus maintains a drug-free policy.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, competent nursing care by assessing, planning, organizing, and directing patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Employ evidence-based nursing standards and follow state Board of Nursing guidelines.
  • Provide psychological support to patients and families, advocating for their needs and promoting a compassionate environment.
  • Delegate responsibilities according to team members capabilities and licensure.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and comply with organizational policies and protocols.
  • Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives, contributing to clinical excellence and cost-effective care.
  • Mentor and support onboarding staff, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of professional growth.
  • Promote and uphold organizational values, mission, and philosophy in all patient interactions.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, mindful of patient and staff safety at all times.
