Located near Rochester, NH, this inpatient rehab unit features 19 beds and benefits from a focused nurse-to-patient ratio averaging 6:1, depending on census. The unit prides itself on a collaborative team atmosphere with adequate staffing that ensures patient-centered care and professional job satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, thorough nursing care to patients admitted for rehabilitation and medical-surgical needs
- Manage and monitor patients using specialized equipment such as mechanical lifts, Sara steady devices, Baxter pumps, and Kangaroo pumps
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Meditech EMR system
- Uphold unit guidelines including dress code and infection control policies
- Participate in weekend rotations, scheduled every other weekend
- Exhibit flexibility and kindness, adapting to the fast-paced, patient-focused environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license with proven experience in rehabilitation or medical-surgical nursing
- IV therapy skills are essential
- Preferred: expertise in wound care, stroke recovery, and traumatic brain injury management
- BLS certification required
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills; adaptable and thorough
Schedule
- Primarily day shifts with some night coverage opportunities
- Every other weekend on call
