Job Description

Advance your nursing career with this dynamic contract opportunity specializing in rehabilitation and long-term care. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in protecting, promoting, and restoring health and wellness for patients through compassionate and knowledgeable care. Expect to collaborate closely with providers and multidisciplinary teams, supporting patients and their families while mentoring colleagues and adhering to best nursing practices.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position with full-time hours, inclusive of variable shifts depending on patient and facility needs

Required Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure from the appropriate State Board of Nursing (Illinois or Michigan)
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification (required prior to start date)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to traverse corridors and occasionally remain stationary up to 4 hours
  • Frequently lift/move/carry up to 35 pounds and sometimes work at lower heights
  • Commitment to drug-free workplace standards

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • At least 1 year of RN experience in a rehabilitation care setting
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records and basic proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care at the highest scope of licensure
  • Lead and coordinate with care teams to develop and follow individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients, families, and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical documentation
  • Mentor team members and support the orientation of new staff
  • Promote a safe and clean work environment and adhere to all safety protocols
  • Participate in ongoing process and quality improvement initiatives
  • Advocate for patient needs and uphold organizational values and mission
