Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care in a variety of rehabilitative and long-term care settings, focusing on resident comfort, safety, and health. This contract role supports interdisciplinary collaboration to deliver personalized care to patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or living with Alzheimers/dementia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver direct and indirect nursing care tailored to individual resident needs
- Support residents on specialized units, including Alzheimers/dementia care and transitional rehabilitation
- Administer IV therapy, wound care, and conduct geriatric assessments
- Collaborate effectively with care teams to maintain a therapeutic environment
- Demonstrate flexibility to cover shifts 24/7 and float to other units as required
Qualifications and experience:
- Associate degree in Nursing (or equivalent education and experience)
- Valid State of Maine or compact RN license
- 1-3 years of RN experience preferred
- Medical terminology knowledge is advantageous
- Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
