Job Description

Provide compassionate and professional psychiatric nursing care as a Registered Nurse in a contract role based in Holland, MI. This position involves delivering holistic patient care through assessment, planning, coordination, and ongoing evaluation within a multidisciplinary team focused on mental health services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess individuals care needs and develop personalized care plans collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Coordinate and provide nursing care in partnership with physicians, supporting both individual and group treatment settings.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about treatment plans, discharge planning, and aftercare.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • Document and report clinical information accurately following established protocols.
  • Monitor patient safety, promptly notifying physicians about any adverse safety risks.
  • Lead clinical team efforts through effective delegation, staff development, and collaboration.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, resource stewardship, and adherence to standards of care.
  • Support recovery-focused, person-centered care in community residential settings.
  • Uphold the organizations mission and values through professional conduct and compassionate care.
  • Maintain ongoing competency through required training and support spiritual, emotional, social, and physical patient needs.
  • May serve as charge nurse and assist with scheduling, staffing, and training of direct care personnel.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with psychiatric nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
