A healthcare role is open for a Registered Nurse with specialization in perioperative care, focusing on the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the surgical patient experience. Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care throughout all surgical phases using established protocols and the nursing process
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort, safety, and informed care decisions
- Oversee and provide guidance to assigned personnel within the surgical unit
- Collaborate with nursing management and supervisory staff to maintain staffing and patient care standards
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support surgical unit needs
- Provide flexibility to float to other qualified departments as needed before core staff reassignment
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN licensure with perioperative nursing specialization (RN-PACU) preferred
- Proven expertise in perioperative nursing protocols and surgical care
- Strong leadership skills to direct and supervise nursing personnel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
Schedule:
- 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM shift
- Includes on-call rotation
