Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) care. This contract position is located in Alpharetta, GA, offering the chance to apply your nursing expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment focused on patient recovery and safety immediately following surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor patients vital signs and overall condition as they recover from anesthesia.
  • Provide specialized nursing care and support to ensure safe and comfortable patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated post-operative care.
  • Manage pain, fluid balance, and any complications arising during the post-anesthesia phase.
  • Document patient status accurately and maintain adherence to healthcare protocols.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license with PACU specialty skills.
  • Experience in post-anesthesia nursing or critical care nursing.
  • Strong assessment and monitoring skills for patients emerging from anesthesia.
  • Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
