Job Description

A clinical nursing professional is needed for a 13-week contract in Spring, TX, specializing in home infusion and medication management within a physician practice setting. This role focuses on the delivery and management of patient care involving complex diagnoses, particularly involving IVIG therapies and medications used for multiple sclerosis (MS) and myasthenia gravis (MG).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical care for patients requiring home infusion therapies, including Gamunex, Lequimby, and other IVIG medications.
  • Utilize strong IV skills and port access knowledge to administer medications safely and effectively.
  • Calculate and prepare complex drug mixtures accurately following prescribed protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to manage patient care plans for multiple specialties.
  • Document patient information and treatments using the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Demonstrated experience with infusion nursing and home infusion medications.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex clinical scenarios.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
