Job Description

Bring your clinical expertise and commitment to patient-centered care to a dynamic nursing role supporting individuals in a community or small facility setting. This contract position offers a weekday schedule, with Monday through Friday shifts from 8am to 5pm, along with required weekend/holiday availability and on-call responsibilities.

Schedule:

  • Monday Friday, 8am 5pm
  • Weekend/holiday availability
  • On-call required

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience in wound care, Foley catheter management, IV Infusion, and PICC/midline management
  • Proficiency with HCHB/PointCare platforms
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel within Passaic County (mileage reimbursement provided at $0.50/mile patient to patient)
  • Previous experience in community-based or facility healthcare settings preferred
  • Strong assessment, planning, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

  • Observe, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing support for well, chronic, or acutely ill individuals
  • Supervise, monitor, and update care plans; oversee and direct staff as needed
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and manage care strategies and safety protocols
  • Manage medication ordering, storage, administration, and documentation; review and revise medication policies as necessary
  • Communicate with physicians regarding client status and ensure timely reporting of changes
  • Complete nursing documentation daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually as required
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection prevention guidelines
  • Schedule and follow up on health-related appointments, integrating findings into care plans
  • Provide training for new staff and annual recertification on health and safety topics
