An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in Operating Room care, based in Waterloo, IA. This contract role offers the chance to provide critical perioperative nursing in a dynamic medical environment, supporting surgical teams and ensuring exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patient care in the operating room
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to ensure patient safety and comfort
- Monitor patient status during operations and respond promptly to any changes
- Manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment efficiently
- Participate in call rotations, including overnight and weekend shifts as scheduled
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with Operating Room experience
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and patient safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible availability to cover scheduled call rotations
Schedule and Call Details:
- 12-hour shifts from 0600 to 1830
- 9-hour shifts from 0900 to 1830
- 10-hour shifts from 0800 to 1830
- 36-40 hours per week plus call rotations
- Overnight call approximately every 1-2 weeks
- Weekend call approximately every 4-5 weeks, including holidays
