Job Description

Step into a pivotal role as an experienced Registered Nurse, expertly supporting clinical excellence in the operating room. This contract opportunity calls for a skilled RN with a background in perioperative care to deliver the highest standards of patient-centered nursing for surgical patients. Youll engage with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes throughout every stage of the surgical process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive preoperative and postoperative assessments for surgical patients
  • Developing and implementing individualized plans of care
  • Circulating and providing direct patient care in the operating room, maintaining sterile technique
  • Functioning as a Scrub Technician as needed, assisting the surgical team with instrument and supply management
  • Delegating tasks to other healthcare staff while ensuring effective communication
  • Coordinating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other allied health professionals
  • Documenting care accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with professional and facility standards
  • Advocating for patient safety and comfort at all times
  • Upholding established Standards of Nursing Practice and the values of teamwork
  • Fostering a collaborative environment to enhance patient care and satisfaction

Qualifications and experience:

  • Valid, unencumbered RN license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Minimum one year of recent operating room nursing experience
  • Previous experience functioning as both Circulating and Scrub RN preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare setting
