In this Operating Room RN role, youll strengthen your skills in a dynamic environment characterized by collaborative leadership and innovative clinical practices. Schedule/Hours:
- Participation in on-call rotation required for urgent and emergent surgical cases
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Unrestricted RN license, Alaska (or eligibility)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association) required
- Ability to obtain additional specialty certifications within six months, as needed
- Clinical, high-risk competencies validated before preceptorship completion and annually
- Proficiency with electronic health records
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, extended standing, moderate-to-high noise environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized care plans for surgical patients
- Circulate during procedures, ensuring readiness, documentation, and workflow coordination
- Advocate for patient safety, facilitate team communication, and support sterile staff
- Administer medications and interventions safely
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance
- Support orientation and mentorship of staff and students
