Job Description
An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to provide exceptional perioperative care. This role requires a highly independent and certified professional comfortable managing diverse surgical cases, including urology, vascular, orthopedics, pain management, spine, ophthalmology, and plastics.
Key Qualifications:
- Current RN license with perioperative nursing expertise
- Peri-Op 101 Certification is mandatory; CNOR certification preferred
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- Demonstrated independence in multiple service lines: urology, vascular, orthopedics, pain management, spine, eyes, and plastics
- Strong clinical assessment and intraoperative nursing skills
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure patient safety in the OR
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams throughout procedures
- Manage equipment and instrumentation specific to various surgical specialties
- Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care, including education and monitoring
- Adhere to all regulatory standards and facility policies to ensure compliance and quality care
