A healthcare opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in the Operating Room. This position is located in Malaga, NM, offering a contract assignment that provides hands-on experience in a dynamic surgical environment. The role focuses on the circulator function within the OR, supporting a variety of surgical specialties.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency with general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology, podiatry, plastics, endocrine, and trauma cases
- Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients
Schedule:
- Days, Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 5 eight-hour shifts per week
- Call required: one weekday per week minimum, with weekend rotation
- On-call shifts: Monday to Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM; Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a safe and efficient operating room environment by coordinating patient care and assisting surgical teams
- Monitor patient status and provide critical support throughout procedures
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize surgical outcomes
