Job Description

Bring your operating room expertise to a rewarding contract assignment in a dynamic surgical environment. This position requires a registered nurse with strong experience in perioperative care, trauma, and advanced surgical specialties to support a fast-paced Operating Room unit.

Schedule:

  • Full-time: 36 hours per week (GWW 36)
  • Three 12-hour shifts
  • Days: Thursday & Friday, 6:45 am 7:15 pm
  • Night: Saturday, 6:45 pm 7:15 am

Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted California RN license
  • Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (annual renewal)
  • Minimum of 2 years operating room experience in trauma care at comparable facilities
  • At least 1 year of travel RN experience
  • Proficient in trauma, orthopedics, and robotic surgeries
  • Experience with call rotation, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to fulfill weekend and holiday shifts as needed
  • Completion of a skills checklist prior to assignment onboarding

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled, patient-centered care in the operating room in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is sterile and functioning
  • Support surgical teams during a wide range of procedures, including trauma, orthopedic, and robotic interventions
  • Maintain strict adherence to patient safety protocols and hospital policies
  • Participate in call rotations as scheduled, including during weekends and holidays

Start Date:

  • Assignment begins approximately two weeks after offer acceptance
