Job Description
Bring your operating room expertise to a rewarding contract assignment in a dynamic surgical environment. This position requires a registered nurse with strong experience in perioperative care, trauma, and advanced surgical specialties to support a fast-paced Operating Room unit.
Schedule:
- Full-time: 36 hours per week (GWW 36)
- Three 12-hour shifts
- Days: Thursday & Friday, 6:45 am 7:15 pm
- Night: Saturday, 6:45 pm 7:15 am
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted California RN license
- Valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (annual renewal)
- Minimum of 2 years operating room experience in trauma care at comparable facilities
- At least 1 year of travel RN experience
- Proficient in trauma, orthopedics, and robotic surgeries
- Experience with call rotation, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to fulfill weekend and holiday shifts as needed
- Completion of a skills checklist prior to assignment onboarding
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled, patient-centered care in the operating room in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is sterile and functioning
- Support surgical teams during a wide range of procedures, including trauma, orthopedic, and robotic interventions
- Maintain strict adherence to patient safety protocols and hospital policies
- Participate in call rotations as scheduled, including during weekends and holidays
Start Date:
- Assignment begins approximately two weeks after offer acceptance
