Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a registered nurse with operating room expertise to provide skilled perioperative care. This contract position offers a chance to work in a dynamic surgical environment located in Ida Grove, IA, where professional growth and hands-on experience in both orthopedic and general surgical procedures are valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care during orthopedic, general surgery, and C-section procedures
  • Utilize the EPIC charting system for accurate and timely documentation
  • Collaborate closely with surgical teams to support patient safety and positive outcomes
  • Participate in floating assignments including pre-operative and post-anesthesia care units (PACU)
  • Respond to on-call duties approximately 1-2 times weekly and every third weekend

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with Operating Room experience
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
  • Proficiency in orthopedic and general surgery nursing, including C-sections
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system is essential
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced surgical setting and handle floating responsibilities

Schedule:

  • 13-week contract
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Early start time at 6:30 AM
