Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to support surgical teams by assisting surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures. This role is essential in coordinating the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff to ensure smooth and efficient surgical operations. The ideal candidate prioritizes patient safety throughout the entire perioperative phase, contributing to excellent patient care planning, assessment, and nursing treatments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures
  • Coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and OR staff to maintain an efficient operating room environment
  • Ensure patient safety during the perioperative phase of care
  • Participate in patient care planning, assessments, and nursing treatments
  • Comply with all safety and infection control protocols

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with experience in Operating Room nursing
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and perioperative patient care
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to maintaining patient safety and high standards of care
  • Experience working in a unionized environment (represented by CNA) preferred
