An opportunity is available for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative care in a Level 3 trauma center setting. This contract role requires a commitment to a day shift schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM 5:00 PM), with on-call duties every 3rd to 4th weekend and evening call responsibilities until 11 PM once per week.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in acute care operating room nursing with strong competencies in general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, ENT, and gynecology.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina or holding a multi-state compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience working in trauma center environments preferred.
- Must provide a radiation badge; badges will not be issued by the facility.
- First-time travelers with broad specialty skills are welcome to apply.
Location: Position based in Dillon, SC, located within a 60-mile radius policy. This facility staffs 276 beds and uses Epic charting software. Parking is available at no cost. Scrubs are supplied onsite. Nursing staff should be prepared for assignments during hurricane season from June through November.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a busy operating room with 12 ORs.
- Collaborate closely with surgical teams and support patient safety and outcomes.
- Respond efficiently to on-call requirements and adapt to emergency protocols as needed.
- Follow all institutional policies, including radiation safety measures.
