An opportunity is available for a knowledgeable Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise to provide high-quality circulator nursing support. This 13-week contract role offers consistent day shifts with an engaging call schedule, ideal for skilled nursing professionals seeking a dynamic clinical setting.
Location: Carlsbad, NM

Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- On-call responsibilities including one weekday minimum and rotating weekends
- On-call hours: Monday-Friday 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Saturday and Sunday 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide circulating nursing care during a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, and trauma
- Support both adult and pediatric patients throughout the perioperative experience
- Collaborate with surgical teams to maintain patient safety and adherence to protocols
- Manage sterile fields and supplies, ensuring optimal operating room function
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience in an operating room setting
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Comfort and proficiency in adult and pediatric surgical nursing
- Strong knowledge of multiple surgical specialties as listed above
- Ability to manage on-call duties reliably and professionally
