Job Description

A registered nurse with expertise in operating room procedures is needed to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced setting, supporting surgical teams and ensuring patient safety throughout perioperative activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgeries by providing necessary instruments and support
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and condition during surgery, addressing any changes promptly
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain standards of care and adhere to protocols
  • Document surgical interventions and patient progress accurately in medical records
  • Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care, including assessments and education

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN licensure
  • Proven experience in operating room nursing
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and infection control measures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent communication skills for interaction with surgical teams and patients
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
