Skilled Registered Nurses are needed with expertise in Operating Room settings to support seamless patient care through surgical procedures. In this contract opportunity, you will play a vital role in maintaining patient safety and optimal outcomes during all phases of perioperative care. Your ability to assist surgeons and anesthesiologists, coordinate equipment and staff, and ensure smooth workflow in the operating room will make a significant impact on patient experiences and team efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, handling tasks to support safe, efficient operations.
- Ensure proper setup and operation of equipment, supplies, and instruments required for procedures.
- Coordinate staff and maintain clear communication throughout the surgical process.
- Monitor patient safety and condition during the perioperative phase, promptly addressing any changes.
- Participate in patient assessments, planning, and delivery of nursing interventions before, during, and after surgery.
- Document care and follow required protocols to maintain accurate records.
- Foster a collaborative environment with the surgical and nursing teams.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Strong background in Operating Room (OR) nursing.
- Experience with perioperative procedures and protocol.
- Proficient in patient assessment and perioperative care planning.
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced, high-stakes hospital environments.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
