Job Description

A Registered Nurse with specialized Operating Room experience is sought for a contract assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. This role requires an active Alaska RN license and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment supporting Orthopedics, Total Joint replacements, Neurosurgery, and Robotic-assisted procedures.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license (mandatory).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Experience in Orthopedics, Total Joints, Neurosurgery, and Robotics preferred.
  • Skills as OR circulator and scrub support highly valued.
  • CNOR certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to advocate for patients while serving as a circulator in the OR setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care in an 11-operating room suite located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building.
  • Support a variety of surgical cases including multi-level spine fusions and Xi Robotic assisted surgeries across GYN, colorectal, and general surgery.
  • Collaborate closely with anesthesia, surgical, and scrub tech teams to maintain a safe, efficient OR environment.
  • Participate in call rotation averaging 5-6 weekday shifts and occasional weekend coverage, supporting continuous patient care.
  • Maintain documentation within the Epic electronic medical record system.

Work Schedule:

  • Primarily three 12-hour day shifts, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Call duties are required outside of scheduled shifts.
