A healthcare opportunity is available for a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care. This contract position is located in Larimore, ND, at a Level 2 Trauma Center known for delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities include performing and documenting patient assessments and evaluations, providing diagnostic and therapeutic treatments, and assisting physicians. The role also requires delivering patient and family education tailored to their needs, monitoring patients for significant condition changes, and documenting actions taken. The therapist will manage all necessary documentation including order entry, EMR charting, and safety reports, as well as maintaining and processing respiratory equipment. Transporting infants safely between referral health systems with critical care oversight is also part of the duties.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Respiratory Therapist license from the North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care prior to start date
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) prior to start date
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU Respiratory Therapy experience
- Recent travel experience preferred, with at least three completed assignments
- New graduates must obtain registry from the National Board for Respiratory Care within 12 months of start date
This position follows a 3x12-hour rotating shift schedule and is offered as a 13-week contract. Candidates are required to submit a resume, detailed skills checklist, and proof of licensure.
