Job Description

Provide specialized care as a Registered Nurse skilled in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing, supporting critically ill newborns and their families. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic unit delivering advanced care to fragile infants, utilizing your expertise in neonatal nursing and electronic charting systems.

Location: Fulton, NY

Contract Details:

  • Duration: 16 weeks
  • Hours Per Week: 36
  • Schedule: Flexible within departmental needs

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and clear Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience
  • Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Proficient in EPIC electronic charting system
  • Comfortable wearing any color scrubs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonates in the NICU
  • Monitor vital signs and clinical conditions, responding swiftly to changes
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver family-centered care
  • Accurately document patient information and interventions using EPIC
  • Support families with education and emotional support throughout their newborns treatment

This contract position is suited for dedicated NICU nurses prepared to contribute immediately in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Nurses residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for a local rate; others will receive the travel rate.
