Providing specialized, high-quality care for newborns in critical conditions, this role focuses on delivering coordinated nursing within a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will be responsible for managing care for neonates with life-threatening conditions, applying critical thinking and professional judgment to support both patients and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff, ensuring effective team coordination.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
- Utilize independent judgment and supervisory discretion in clinical decisions.
- Monitor and care for neonates requiring intensive observation and intervention, consistent with Level III or Level IV NICU designations.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license.
- Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to supervise and lead nursing staff effectively.
- Knowledge of NICU standards and protocols, including familiarity with AAP guidelines.
