Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care to provide high-quality, coordinated care for critically ill newborns. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care based on established standards, supervising nursing staff, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a Level III/IV NICU setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for neonates requiring intensive monitoring and life-support.
  • Supervising and directing activities of assigned nursing staff to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment in managing complex clinical situations.
  • Coordinating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Documenting patient status and nursing interventions accurately and timely.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with NICU experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of neonatal critical care principles and protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage nursing team activities.
  • Current certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred.
