Job Description

Deliver high-quality care as a Registered Nurse focused on medical-surgical patients in a dynamic acute care environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide patient-centered nursing to a diverse patient population, utilizing the nursing process and established standards. You'll work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams while guiding and supervising nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid and current RN license
  • Previous experience in medical-surgical (MS) nursing preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to supervise and direct the work of other nursing staff
  • Proficient in coordinating care across various disciplines
  • Knowledge of standard nursing practices and procedures
  • Effective communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for assigned patients under established policies and procedures
  • Implement the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to assigned nursing staff, ensuring compliance with standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to plan and implement patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Support patient safety and quality initiatives within the unit
  • Exhibit flexibility and sound judgment in acute, evolving patient care situations
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment
