Job Description
Provide expert coordinated nursing care to patients or assigned patient groups, adhering to established standards and utilizing the nursing process to ensure optimal outcomes. This role involves supervising and directing nursing staff across various levels, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and applying critical thinking and professional judgment to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver coordinated nursing care in accordance with established standards and nursing processes.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff members.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other healthcare disciplines to optimize patient care.
- Exercise critical thinking and independent judgment in clinical and supervisory decisions.
- Document and communicate patient status and care plans effectively.
- Adhere to departmental protocols, including education and non-productive hours tracking for Float Pool nurses.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Proven experience in clinical nursing with supervisory capabilities.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
