Job Description
An excellent contract opportunity is open for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry care. The role requires coverage for night shifts with a 3x12 schedule from 6:45pm to 7:15am. The assignment includes every other weekend, with no on-call requirement. Candidates should be prepared for floating within scope as needed to support the facilitys workflow.
Schedule/Hours
- 3x12-hour night shifts (18:45 07:15)
- Every other weekend required
Qualifications & Experience
- Active South Carolina or Compact RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience
- Proficient in telemetry, including interpretation of dysrhythmias and unit-based telemetry care
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Prior community hospital experience is preferred
- Open to first-time contract RNs who meet all requirements
Role Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care for a diverse medical-surgical/telemetry population with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Accurately interpret telemetry strips and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Epic charting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
- Float within your scope to comparable units, as determined by facility needs
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety policies

- Royal blue scrubs required
- Free on-site parking available
- Facility may call off one shift every two weeks
- Approval for block scheduling can be requested but is not guaranteed
- Expect responsibilities related to emergency response teams during hurricane season (JuneNovember)
