Job Description

Deliver exceptional patient care as an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse. In this contract role, youll be a vital part of a multidisciplinary team, providing compassionate and expert support to patients and their families throughout their oncology journey. Leverage your skills to actively participate in both the clinical and emotional aspects of cancer care, ensuring each patient receives personalized, high-quality attention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with medical teams
  • Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments, with strict adherence to safety protocols
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes or concerns promptly
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, side effects, and symptom management
  • Provide emotional support, advocacy, and resources to patients and loved ones
  • Supervise and mentor licensed and unlicensed personnel as assigned
  • Participate in team meetings to promote coordinated and safe care

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Previous experience in medical-surgical or oncology nursing strongly preferred
  • Expertise in chemotherapy administration and oncology protocols
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
  • BLS certification (and ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, patient-centered environment

Pay range is $31.78 to $47 per hour, depending on education and experience, reflecting your valuable expertise in this specialized field.
